Like many of you, I’ve been aware for quite some time that the American education system is in trouble. However, I didn’t know just how bad things have gotten until I saw the movie Flunked. Our younger kids do fine when tested against kids from other countries. But after 4th grade, they begin a slide to the point where by 12th grade, American kids are down near the bottom! Something is seriously wrong.
However, there are teachers and schools out there that are doing something about it. They aren’t waiting for government mandates and funding…they’re coming up with solutions that work right now. Flunked is their story. I highly recommend checking it out at www.flunkedthemovie.com! Get yourself a copy, and give a teacher you know a copy as a gift. He or she will thank you!
